Paraphrase. Since the beginning, OSINT has offered publicly accessible information, and the collection process continues to evolve alongside technological advancements. Considering the advancements in technology, I assess that AI will be essential to OSINT collection in the future. New technologies are currently altering how the Intelligence Community (IC) collects, stores, and processes information. Maintaining a competitive edge in strategic intelligence against increasingly advanced adversaries will be vital for safeguarding and promoting U.S. national security interests in the future (CSIS, 2020). Overall, the advancement in technology is enhancing intelligence-gathering methods and assisting analysts during the processing and analysis of key information being distributed by these new methods making it more effective and efficient.
