Postmodern life is saturated with technology. Personal computers, cell phones, iPads, television, computer games, and other electronic devices and activities consume several hours per day for many contemporary individuals.
Technology is a great tool. But can humans engage with technology to their own detriment?
How much face to face human contact is essential for healthy personal and community relationships? The humanities, including art, explore universal ideas about self and community, about human understanding and the importance of empathy.
