Discussion Post: The Purpose of College
This discussion will ask you to consider the broader social purpose of college.
In your post, try to answer at least one or more of the following questions: Does college serve a public good? Are you learning anything that has helped to make you a more informed citizen? Does college have any purpose in your life apart from getting a job? How might your major within the Arts and Humanities contribute to understanding a diverse world? Would it be beneficial to a democracy to expand access to higher education?
