Assignment task:
For this essay, reflect on the Public Speaking Unit of CMST1110 (class from 1/13-2/17) to solidify and celebrate the knowledge and skills you gained during this unit. Using examples from course readings, activities, discussions, experiences, etc. please respond to the following prompts:
1. [Key Concepts] Identify 3 concepts, principles, or theories from the Public Speaking Unit that have been of particular interest or importance to you. Explain the concept, identify where you learned about it in the course, and then describe how or why it has been valuable to you.
2. [Challenges] Describe 2-3 things from this course that were initially challenging, frustrating and/or confusing for you (an idea, a reading, an assignment) and then answer the following:

- How might you respond differently in the future?
- How does this challenge influence your knowledge, skills, and/or assumptions going forward?

- And identify 2-3 ways that the insights, perceptions, and/or skills you have gained in this course can be applied to your life outside of college.
Length: Your essay should be 2-3 pages in length.
Organization: Feel free to label the sections (Key Concepts, Challenges, Analysis).
Sources: You must specifically reference at least 3 different concepts from the course reading throughout the essay. You do not have to properly cite the readings as you would in a research paper. But you do have to specifically refer to them.
Concept would be like: Interpersonal relationship, Media and communication, Listening, romantic relationship.
