How media corporations survive the age of digitalization

Assignment task:

Neuroeconomics, behavioral economics and media economics are very closely related in their basic theoretical aim. Unlike neuroscience, the concept of media economics as such does have a clear and consistent structure within the skeleton of economics and management sub-disciplines. Within that scope, the main goal lies in producing news and information that can generate profit. Simply because in order to provide the ultimate goal of generating 'independent' and 'neutral' news, the financial aspects of any media company have to be secured. Within that scope, neuroscience contributes to the field of media economics by means of generating preferences to help establish a customer base with the readers or followers as 'consumers'.

1. In view of what you've learned this week and the fact that both neuroeconomics and media economics are seen as 'cousins' by many economics science researchers, to what extent do you think neuroeconomic researchers are capable of helping journalists and media corporations survive the age of digitalization?

2. Support your arguments with evidence and examples from scholarly references
