It's a Mark Twain scholarly type paper and it's comparing 3 short stories "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County," "The Lowest Animal," and "A Dog's Tale." These three are supposed to provide evidence on how Mark Twain was an early animal welfare advocate comparing how different he shows people's portrayals of animals in the different times he wrote each piece.
