For your project, the idea is to pretend you're starting your own business. Don't select a cafe/coffee shop business for this problem.
Explain what kind of company you're starting.
A. How many employees do you envision hiring? What would their roles be? What would their responsibilities be? What tools/technology would they need to complete their jobs?
B. What technology will you need?
a. Will you have tools on-premise, in the cloud, or both? Why? How would you determine this?
b. Are you going to custom-build your own applications or purchase solutions that already exist?
c. In what sequence would you implement your technology?
C. Would you establish your business processes first and then shape your technology selections based on how your want your business to operate, or would you select your technology first and shape how your business operates based on the technology you've acquired?
Think critically. If you need access to the internet at your company, you need to ensure you're able to get CONNECTED to the internet, and thus need an internet service provider.
If you want to have an ERP, what will that mean? If you want to implement a CRM, how will data get into that CRM? etc.
