How many days of food does the average us households

Assignment Task:

We have viewed different emergencies and disasters over the last few weeks. We have seen what happens when something the nobody thought about happens. We have seen what happens when things are thought of, but ignored. For example, the Maui fires. The emergency response office of Hawaii has a policy that if the winds increase to a certain level in the mountains, that the power company shut off the power to the lines. This did not happen. Fires resulted. At least two action novels have been written before 9/11 about an airplane being used as a guidable missile. No one in authority thought there was much of a chance something like these fiction novels could be accomplished without being shut down by our security. Something that has been batted around for the last several years is the consequences of an Electromagnetic Pulse. After reading the articles that I provided, and doing some research of your own on the subject, please answer the following questions:

1. How many days of food does the average US households have in them? How many days supply of food do stores typically supply?

2. How would supplies be brought in to urban areas? Rural areas?

3. How many people do you think would expire in the first 72 hours? How about 96 hours? Two months?

4. Why would these deaths occur?

5. Would you really be affected at all?

6. How could you respond?
