How legumes are not just proteins


Problem:

This video mentions how legumes are not just proteins, but vegetables. I usually do not think of them this way, but I should instead of only seeing them as protein. Eating beans does not spike blood pressure. The process of making lentil soup was so simple and easy. People who eat nuts often are often slim. Eating small amounts of nuts every day cuts the risk of stroke in half.

I would like to get better about buying and eating more varieties of nuts. I would like to be less picky about trying legumes, although I love chickpeas. Hearing about the benefits from eating these foods in the video makes me want to try some of these recipes so that I can start eating them more regularly and so that i have more variety in my diet. One legume that I would like to try is lima beans.
