Assignment: Spring 2020 - Psychology of Adolescence- Movie Critique
Students must complete a 2 to 3 pages typed adolescent movie critique. Students must watch a movie on their own time. They must first approve the movie with the instructor. Specific details are included later in the syllabus and are posted on myLeo Online (D2L). All work must be turned in on myLeo Online (D2L) prior to the start of class.
Adolescent Classic Movie Critique Criteria
The content of the movie critique must include the following sections
• Summary of the movie - (this is your summary, not the description on the movie case)
• How is the movie related to a topic or topics covered in class? Make explicit linkages.
• How are adolescents portrayed in the movie? Consider the movie's timeframe. Are adolescent portrayals realistic?
• What research questions (must have 2) can be developed from viewing the movie?
• Conclusions and personal reactions.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
(1) The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
(2) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
(3) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
