Problem
Note that this novel begins with the notion of healing-"Get ready for some doctoring" (3)-and ends with the word "home" (292). Yet, the vast majority of the narrative focuses on loss, pain and darkness. In what ways are the characters (or any one of the main characters) on a journey? Is this journey physical, psychological, spiritual, or all three? How is it a journey toward health and a more hopeful future? Be specific in a response.
I would like to focus and response on these three question.
i. In what ways are the characters (or any one of the main characters) on a journey?
ii. Is this journey physical, psychological, spiritual, or all three?
iii. How is it a journey toward health and a more hopeful future?
