How is EISA bus different from ISA bus?
The Extended Industry Standard Architecture (EISA): it is a 32 bit modification to the ISA bus. Since computers became larger and had wider data buses and a new bus was required that would transfer 32-bit data. The clocking speed restricted up to 8MHz. The most general application for the EISA bus is a disk controller or like a video graphics adapter. All applications benefit by the wider data bus width since the data transfer rate for these devices are high.
