Directions:
1) In a 2-3 page, double-spaced, narrative format, discuss each of the following questions. Separate your answers into three distinct segments.
- What is cultural competency? Elaborate on this.
- How is cultural competency different from cultural awareness and cultural sensitivity? Compare and contrast. Provide examples.
- What kind of experiences related to cultural diversity have you encountered in healthcare? How comfortable are you with your knowledge, ability, and skills to deliver culturally congruent care to patients of diverse cultures?
