You could explore positive and negative experiences in learning to read and write, breakthrough moments in your development as a literate person, or some educational experiences that have shaped your identity as a person or student. This paper needs to be between 750-1,000 words (3-4 pages). Look at the MLA guideline document on the class site for more details about format or in your LBB. Paper must be typed according to those rules.
Possible questions to ask as you brainstorm:
1) How have you adjusted to college or educational challenges?
2) What is your experience with the English language?
3) Do you recall any influential teachers or mentors?
4) How does literacy and social status/citizenship factor into your role in society?
