Problem
You will conduct your interview and evaluate Erikson's theory using your interviewee's responses and three scholarly sources about Erikson's theory.
Task
A. How did you experience the initiative vs. guilt stage of Erikson's psychosocial theory in your life?
B. Do you think that initiative is something that has been important throughout your life?
C. What activities or experiences have helped you to develop a sense of initiative?
D. How has your ability to take initiative impacted your life?
E. What advice would you give to someone who is struggling with initiative during this stage of development?
After the interview is completed, you will use the interview responses, along with three scholarly sources, to making a three-page paper. The focus will be whether or not your interviewee experienced the psychosocial stage as described by Erikson's theory. Include the following:
1) State the psychosocial stage you chose to focus on.
2) Based on the interview responses, is Erikson's theory correct?
3) Elaborate your response with specific detailed answers you obtained in your interview.
4) Connect the answers you received with Erikson's theory. Explain how these answers support or refute Erikson's theory.
5) Do you believe that this stage of Erikson's theory is continuous or discontinuous? Explain your answer.
6) Further support your response with three scholarly sources on Erikson's theory and/or research related to Erikson's theory.
