Your submission should be at least three pages in length, but no more than five, not counting the title page and references.
A minimum of two references are required, one of which should be scholarly/academic in nature and found in the CSU Online Library. You must cite and reference all resources used in APA Style.
Internal Migration Case Study:
We discussed in the unit lesson that most migration is internal, and there are three main reasons why people move internally in their country: age, employment, and a location's physical environment.
For this assignment, you will complete a case study in which you explore the impact of internal migration on your state or a state where you previously resided.
Begin with a brief introduction, then address the following:
- How has the population changed in your state over the past 5 years?
- Is your state gaining or losing residents?
- Where are the residents mainly coming from or going to?
- What are the push-and-pull factors accounting for the population changes?
- What security risks might be involved?
- What are some of the cultural impacts of population changes experienced in your state?
- How has the relationship between landscape and culture changed?
Conclude your paper with a section discussing your own internal migration story. Have you moved within or between states? What were the push-and-pull factors relating to your move or moves? If you have not moved, please list some of the factors that have kept you from moving.
