Problem
1. While listening, analyze tone of voice for each candidate. Do they sound calm, agitated, anxious, annoyed? Putting aside how you personally feel about Pritzker and Bailey, tell me which candidate you think came off during the debate as more informed and which came off as more eloquent.
2. Every candidate in a debate is looking for a brief, memorable sound bite that the news media will hopefully latch onto and use in their stories. Did Pritzker and/or Bailey have at least one of those? What was it?
3. How effective were the moderators in moving the debate along and keeping the candidates in line?
4. How did the candidates perform on some of the debate strategies we discussed in class, including being human, keeping their cool, properly responding to personal attacks and pivoting to talking points.
