I. From the articles, what are some of the reasons for educational inequality?
II. Discuss the difference in educational outcomes shown in the video. What are the differences between the school populations (% in poverty, graduation rates, standardized test scores, etc)?
III. Define institutional discrimination . Discuss how educational disparities in Chicago may illustrate an example of institutional discrimination based on race (in other words, how might the ways that schools are funded play a role in perpetuating educational disparities that are drawn along racial lines?). How is this different from individual discrimination?
