Problem
Your supervisor listened to a podcast on "Trauma-Informed Workplaces" and wants to make sure your organization is applying the principles of the trauma-informed approach to your workplace. She asks you to make a presentation on ways the company is and is not using the trauma-informed approach.
In your report/presentation, be sure to provide:
I. An explanation of what the trauma-informed approach (TIA) is. Please include a description of the principles.
II. An explanation of why it is important to use a trauma-informed approach in the workplace.
III. Three ways that the organization is utilizing a trauma-informed approach. Be sure to explain how each is applying at least 1 (or more) of the TIA principles.
IV. Two ways that the organization could be more trauma-informed. For example, is there a practice or procedure that could be added or changed? Use the principles of the TIA to describe why this change or addition should be made.
V. A description of 2 assessments that could be used to measure employee stress and an analysis of how the results could be used in a trauma-informed way.
