If you choose to write a term paper, it should either be 3 to 5 pages (if you are in English 192) This paper should focus on at least one of the works in class, should include at least one outside source (if you are in English 192) You are permitted to pick your own topic to argue otherwise, though the most straightforward one would be: "How does this work use the alternate history genre to further its thematic goals?"

Story: Instead of the term paper, you can write your own alternate history story. The story itself must be at least 5 pages (though it can be longer) and must make either the Nexus Event, or the Parallel Worlds apparent at some point in the story. Otherwise, you are free to write about whatever you want.
The response must include a reference list. One-inch margins, double-space, Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font and APA style of writing and citations.
