Part I: Organizational Assessment
i. Describe Manitoba potash, provide an overview of its major business activities, and identify its target customers.
ii. Identify the primary Business-Level Strategy of the organization. What is it and why do you think that? Explain your answer.
iii. How does the organization create value for its customers? Draw on either the Value Chain Analysis or Resource-Based model to describe the source of value.
Part II: General Environment Assessment
Identify the three most important general environment factors and trends that the organization should monitor as they implement business decisions over the next 1-3 years. Consider the following segments: demographic, sociocultural, political/legal, technological, economic, global. Be sure to identify specific trends that would affect the organization and why these are important.
Part III: Industry Conditions Assessment
Using the Porter's Five Forces model, discuss the most important key competitive pressure (one of the five forces) that the organization needs to monitor and/or mitigate over the next 12 months. Identify why you chose that force, explaining the context of your assessment.
