Beth is 76 years old and has been admitted to your ward in 2000 with pneumonia from ED. Beth has a PMH of COPD and HTN. The nurse had an extremely busy shift overnight.

At 0600: The Nurse was distracted and forgot to do an intervention i.e. (A)
When the nurse went to see Beth at 0700, her Nasal Prongs were laying on the floor. Beth was confused and climbed out of bed. Beth was Cyanosed, RR 30, Spo2 87% RA. Blood gas shows that Beth is acidotic and hypercapnic.
