Problem
In his article "Boomerangs versus Javelins: How Polarization Constrains Communication on Climate Change," Jack Zhou suggests (at pp.805-806) that "it may be useful to think of political issues as existing on a polarization spectrum and that an issue's place on this spectrum constrains the role of communication and information provision." What does Zhou mean by this, and how does it relate to his findings on the issue of climate change? What, if any, lessons can be learned from the more general conclusion that Zhou reaches?
