Ghost World and Nostalgia: How Does Ghost World Depict a "Ghost World"? In Daniel Clowes' graphic novel Ghost World, much of Enid's interaction with her world is filtered through the lens of nostalgia: in trying to find her "true self," she tries on different "looks" from the past. The culture she lives in is something that both fascinates and frustrates her.
