2. State which argument style you will use
3. Give a 1-2 sentence overview of the style itself
4. Explain why you chose this style for your essay. Why is the best choice? Why would the other style produce a less-effective result? How does audience play a role in your choice?
Remember: No matter your audience's background and expertise, the paper you are writing is still a formal, academic essay. We should still avoid first and second person, slang, clichés, truisms, and any other form of informality.
