I'll rate lifesaver to an answer to either of the following(although preferably both if it's not too much trouble!). Thequestions are related and have to do with the procedure Feynmanndescribes for solving the classic harmonic oscillator for multiplemasses (link to view it is given at the end of this post).
1. The dimensions of the ||Cij|| matrix on pg. 15 are thedegrees of freedom of the molecule, right? How does this followfrom Feynmann's description of the system on pg. 13 and 14?
2. How do you find the values of the matrix? For instance, Iwant to find the values for the HO radical and then get theeigenvalues to find the frequency.
