After watching the movie "My Family," answer the following questions:
A. What was the difference in outlook/attitude between Chucho and his father?
B. In what ways was the attitude toward Mexican immigrants at that time different from the attitude today? How was it the same?
C. Although he truly loved his family, how did "Memo," the young lawyer, try to show that he sometimes was a bit embarrassed by them and wanted to more fully assimilate into the culture of his new country. Focus especially on the scene with his soon-to-be in-laws.
D. Was Jimmy right to marry a girl he wasn't in love with (even though he later came to love her) in order for her to stay in the US? How do you feel about what the mother had to say?
