Question 1. How do you feel about the use of animals in toxicological studies? Describe the ethical guidelines you feel should be followed when making decisions about using animals to study the effects of potentially harmful substances.

Based on the air pollution problems in your community, which of these areas of study do you think is the most important? Describe one of the main air pollution problems in your area and how further study might help to improve public health.

Question 5. Carbon dioxide is probably the largest primary pollutant emitted into our atmosphere, but it is not considered a criteria pollutant, no limits have been set for its emission, and there is no ambient air standard. State reasons that you think could be given to explain this apparent anomaly.
Question 6. Evaluate and explain source control and pretreatment permit programs in regards to pollution prevention programs. Be specific and provide at least two examples for each.
Question 7. What is a SEP (supplemental environmental project) and why would industry want to participate in one?
