In Beyond Feelings, Ruggiero discusses specific factors that can affect a person's perception of reality. He specifically mentions factors of time and place. In Hughes short story "Salvation," different characters see reality differently. Choose one character and use Ruggiero's discussion of time and place to analyze how that character's perception of reality is constructed. In other words, how do time and place affect the way that character views the world and others, and thus is lead to make specific decisions?
