The life cycle of subaru product is the consumer want to have a larger space and seat for the car, the other reason is that Subaru losing traction with its products. They need to delevop a new model car to save his business.Secondly, Subaru produce"outback" sports utility vehicles(SUV) and continuely update the product. Lsatly, the "outback" product have poor sales in 2014,so they need to get a new product.

How do shifting consumer trends affect Subaru's products?

Because Subaru product positioning is for the American's family, so Subaru need to follow they are trends. For example if consumer need to more space in car, they need to be produce SUVs, if they need to new fashion, the Subaru need to have a new design. Otherwise they will lose a consumer.

Has Subaru remained customer oriented in its new-product efforts?

The Subaru still remained customre oriented in its new product efforts.They have website and phones to call the consumer and do the consumer research that knowing what opportunity missing in the marketing.
