Problem: How do our beliefs about the "nature of things" make a practical difference in how we see the world and the purpose and value of life? Answer this question by addressing two tasks: First, contrast Lucretius's form of Epicureanism with the polytheistic paganism he rejected. Second, using a Biblical explanation of the "nature of things," show the practical differences that the Christian worldview makes in giving meaning and purpose to life that is absent in Epicureanism.
