For this discussion, please focus on one form of environmental consumption that you regularly engage in. Some examples are listed below. Running the air conditioner, heater, refrigerator, washer and dryer, or other appliance Taking a hot bath or shower Driving a car Ordering products online Eating and drinking Or, a different example of your own choosing As you analyze your selected form of consumption, address the following questions. What is the reality of your consumption? What social context led you to make purchases or consume products? How do modern or affluent lifestyles influence trends in consumption? What are the possible environmental and social impacts of your consumption patterns? Did purchases reflect wants or needs? Why or why not? How might purchasing only for need influence environmental change? To what degree, if at all, do environmental concerns impact your consumption choices?
