Instructions
Students will present two case studies in seminar class from their caseload. Offering a brief overview of the client demographics (fictional name, age, gender identity, marital status, ethnicity and/or race), the student will present a summary of the following in a PowerPoint format:
Task
I. How did this individual/group present to the agency and what the client(s) viewed as their challenges
II. Describe the biopsychosocial/cultural/spiritual assessment factors of this case.
III. Did you, as a social worker, identify additional needs? If so, what were they?
IV. What did the client identify as their strengths?
V. What strengths did you as the social worker identify in this client?
VI. Describe in detail how the following theories could be applicable to your client and this case:
i. Erikson's theory of psychosocial development
ii. Attachment theory
iii. Person in Environment perspective
iv. Cognitive Behavioral Theory
v. Strengths Perspective
vi. Other (name and define the theory or theories)
VII. Intervention
i. What type of intervention(s) did you offer and how does this relate to evidence-based practice (EVP)?
ii. How did you come to choose this particular intervention?
iii. Was the client involved in the process? Why or why not?
iv. Discuss the response of your intervention.
VIII. Outcome and Evaluation
i. What was the outcome of this case?
ii. How does this outcome relate to the EVP research?
iii. Would you have done anything differently and if so, why?
iv. Describe in a reflection, how you feel about your ability to work with clients.
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
1. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
