Folks, one area of consideration is women in business. We have our glass ceilings which should be broken, we have a usually accepting position for women in business in the US. That acceptance is anywhere near equal in Middle East and even into advanced countries like Japan. Female managers have started to appear in Japanese companies but that is recent change. In 1980s I was working for Fujitsu and they had their first two female engineers and all managers could say is they will not be here long as they will get married and they will not be working after that.
Anyone ran into other examples where women or other cultural differences make it difficult for one to do specific job?
