Product/Service Strategy Compass will add mediation to their list of services provided. This will assist with being able to tap in to the private market and increase their revenue. Compass will also need to create positions that provide this service; Director of Mediation and Mediators. Pricing Strategy The pricing for mediation services at the Central Mediation Center is $50.00 per hour. Compass could offer the same service for $45.00 per hour. This would give clients a better pricing option and would encourage services with Compass, rather than the Mediation Center. Wages paid to the Mediation staff will be determined by the requirements to fill the positions. Promotion Strategy Compass will need to create a pamphlet that can be left at the courthouse with the judges and their support staff. Adding this service to the Compass website and social media platforms is also advisable; along with highlighting this service on each. Compass will also advertise positions available in Mediation on all platforms. Place Strategy The mediation service can be provided at the sister location that will be financially supported by the revenue brought in by providing mediation services. Sister locations should be accessible to new clients in areas other than Kearney, where the main office is located. People Strategy This marketing strategy will target individuals and families in crisis. Careful considerations need to be taken when reaching out to this target group. Services are confidential and private. This target audience can be found through referrals and advertised to through other supporting agencies and or courts. Proper vetting processes also need to be taken when hiring for the mediation positions; background checks and education verifications. Provide your strategic goals (broad). Explain and justify your tactical objectives (specific). Tapping in to the private market will take some collaboration and advertising. Currently, Nebraska judges refer divorcees or parents in a custody battle to the Central Mediation Center to help them communicate safely and effectively with each other in an effort to come to a mutual agreement (Central mediation center 2022). Compass could work in collaboration with the Central Mediation Center to help meet the needs of this service. Advertising should be done via pamphlets left at the court house with judges and their support staff. Additional funds could come from donations. Compass needs to allocate a significant amount of funds to put together a strong fundraising strategy. Currently, Compass participates in the "Give Where You Live" challenge and raised just over $25k in 2023. More funds could have been raised with a larger social media presence and presence in the community. Compass should put significant efforts in to their social media platforms and community interactions. Many fundraising opportunities can be taken advantage of through selling merchandise, sponsoring community events, and collaborating with other local businesses.
