Discussion Post: Health Promotion in the Community
Select an infectious disease and research the CDC website for:
• Information about the disease using the natural history of disease; from point of disease causing agent contact to full manifestation, or only the epidemiolic triangle model by including outbreak characteristics.
• Identify an occurrence of the disease by searching the Internet for recent reports of this disease,
• Compare that episode or occurrence with information from the CDC website. How closely did that outbreak resemble the case definition? Explain the purpose of the CDC case definition.
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
