Problem: Chapter 12 reviews the cognitive development taking place in middle childhood. As these children gain the ability to think in concrete thought, less egocentrism and increased logic, they begin to experience the feeling of control in regards to their thinking and learning process.
Define, describe and provide an example of how children in middle childhood think (cognitions) from the perspective of Piaget, Vygotsky, and information-processing approach. Be sure to define, contrast and provide an example of each of the three perspectives.
