How cancer is prevalent in homo sapiens

Assignment task:

Cancer is prevalent in homo sapiens. Is it because we have a couple of p53 genes that regulate cell growth versus the 20 pairs that Elephants have? While I don't believe we can change out our chromosome count from 23 pairs, I do believe Cancer is on the rise, and that one in particular is interesting to me. Anal cancer. Obvious in its name, anal cancer takes place at the distal end of the alimentary canal. After the large intestines absorb salt and water from the stool, the stool goes to the rectum and exits out of the anus. Part of the anatomy of the anus is the mucosa which is the inner lining of the anal canal. This location is where most cancer cells for anal cancer begin. Some symptoms of anal cancer according to cancer.org are as follows: Bleeding from the rectum, blood in stool, an itching sensation near the rectum inside or out, a protuberance or bump in the anal opening, pain in the anal opening, change of bowlmovements, abnormal release of substance from the anus, incontinence from the anus, and swollen lymph nodes in the groin. As with most cancers, once located and diagnosed, treatment options are available. These treatment options include radiation, surgery removal of the mass, chemotherapy and immunotherapy for anal cancer. The statistics of people suffering from anal cancer are suprising. First, we have a 1 and 500 chance of being diagnosed with anal cancer in our life time. Anal cancer is rare among people 35 or younger, with an average age being in the 60's, More common in white woman and black men. (I dislike the titles). Do they mean European Woman and African Decent? Considering this is the United States, I assume the cancer.org website mean in America; anal cancer is more common among light skin woman and dark skin men. Anal Cancer is not as common as colon cancer or rectum but still poses as a branch of the beast that is cancer.
