Case study: Robyn
Robyn is a 86 year old resident at an aged care facility where you are working. You are the carer for Robyn and have formed a really good relationship with Robyn. Robyn has one daughter who comes to visit Robyn once a month. They seem friendly but not overly affectionate. Robyn one day after some discussion said to you that she would like to give you some of her personal effects such as some expensive jewellery she has kept and some other personal stuff. She even once offered to give you some money. Robyn has however asked you not to mention it to her daughter. Your workplace has strict policy and procedures about receiving gifts.
