Problem
Prepare a Project Report based on the following three issues in your project team.
I. Shirking
One of the most common problems in your project team is shirking. Contributions to team outcomes are often not uniform, and sometimes there will be individuals who do far less than their "fair share" of the work. How would you address shirking?
II. Tongue-Tied in Teams
Failure to speak up during team meeting is a common problem for many employees in your team. Some actually lack the ability, the highly intelligent also freeze. If we believe our peers are smarter, we experience anxiety that temporarily blocks the ability to think effectively. Failing to speak may be attributed to personality and extraverted tend to be more vocal than introverted. But even the extraverted remain quiet if they worry about what the group thinks. Preparation is the key, but even that fails at times. How can you as a project manager facilitate more participation from your team members?
III. Social Loafing
One of the members of your team continually arrives late for meetings and does not turn drafts of team tasks in on time. In general, this team member is engaging in social loafing. What can you do to reduce social loafing?
