Discussion: Genetics and Genomics
Over the years, there has been some debate around the topic of genetics and genomics. Using the resources available, research an instance in which the role of genetics and genomics in nursing practice has been questioned. What would you have done in this situation? How was the nurse's response appropriate or inappropriate? Answer the following:
- How can the BSN nurse incorporate elements of genomics into nursing practice?
- What are your thoughts about ways that genomics could be included as part of the nursing assessment?
