Problem
Teachers have been given a priceless and weighty task of preparing students for the future in which they will live. InTASC Standard #5 states that "The Teacher understands how to connect concepts and use differing perspectives to engage learners in critical thinking, creativity, and collaborative problem solving related to authentic local and global issues" (Council, 2011, p. 14). How can educators take students into a future that they cannot yet grasp?
