In the accommodations market, Airbnb appears to have a significant advantage over its competitors as it relates to regulations affecting the operations of its business.
Develop a business strategy that will allow Airbnb to meet local, state, and international regulatory requirements and motivate individuals to benefit from participating in this space of the accommodations market. Address the following questions:
a) How can Airbnb ensure the ethical treatment of consumers?
b) Should there be a separate strategy for the international component of their business model?

A case study analysis requires you to investigate a business problem, examine the alternative solutions, and propose the most effective solution using supporting evidence.
Preparing the Case
Before you begin writing, follow these guidelines to help you prepare and understand the case study:
I. Read and Examine the Case Thoroughly
• Take notes, highlight relevant facts, underline key problems.
II. Focus Your Analysis
• Identify two to five key problems.
• Why do they exist?
• How do they impact the organization?
• Who is responsible for them?
III. Uncover Possible Solutions/Changes Needed
• Review course readings, discussions, outside research, your experience.
IV. Select the Best Solution
• Consider strong supporting evidence, pros, and cons. Is this solution realistic?
Drafting the Case
Once you have gathered the necessary information, a draft of your analysis should include these general sections, but these may differ depending on your homework directions or your specific case study:
I. Introduction
• Identify the key problems and issues in the case study.
• Formulate and include a thesis statement, summarizing the outcome of your analysis in 1-2 sentences.
II. Background
• Set the scene: background information, relevant facts, and the most important issues.
• Demonstrate that you have researched the problems in this case study.
III. Evaluation of the Case
• Outline the various pieces of the case study that you are focusing on.
• Evaluate these pieces by discussing what is working and what is not working.
• State why these parts of the case study are or are not working well.
IV. Proposed Solution/Changes
• Provide specific and realistic solution(s) or changes needed.
• Explain why this solution was chosen.
• Support this solution with solid evidence, such as:
o Concepts from class (text readings, discussions, lectures)
o Outside research
o Personal experience (anecdotes)
V. Recommendations
• Determine and discuss specific strategies for accomplishing the proposed solution.
• If applicable, recommend further action to resolve some of the issues.
• What should be done and who should do it?
Finalizing the Case
After you have composed the first draft of your case study analysis, read through it to check for any gaps or inconsistencies in content or structure:
a) Is your thesis statement clear and direct?
b) Have you provided solid evidence?
c) Is any component from the analysis missing?
When you make the necessary revisions, proofread and edit your analysis before submitting the final draft.
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
• The answer must be using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, typed, with one-inch margins on all sides.
• The response also includes a cover page containing the student's name, the title of the homework, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
• Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
