How boron affect the the synthesis of proteins?
Inadequate availability of boron tends to increase the loss of phosphorus from plant roots and also affects the synthesis of proteins. Symptoms of boron deficiency are dying of growing tips, inhibition of blossoming, disorder in xylem, poor development of root system and break down and discoloration of cell walls especially in phloem.
It is toxic to virtually all plants when present in small quantities but there is great variability in the susceptibility of plant species to boron toxicity.
