Shiva and Buddha
Art has been very important in religious expression. Compare and contrast the sculpture of Shiva as Nataraja and The Seated Buddha (see images below). How are the two works of art similar and how are they different? Write one paragraph about the similarities and one paragraph about the differences. The paragraphs do not have to be of equal length as you may find more differences or similarities in comparing these works. Remember to use the concepts and terminology you learned in the course. Make sure to discuss relevant aspects of visual form, content, function, and context.
