Homework: Psychosocial Development
Choose a peer-reviewed research article originally published in the last 5 years that relates to psychosocial development. Anything throughout the lifespan will suffice. Make sure that the research article includes data and data analysis. Choose a topic that you are genuinely interested in so you will learn something that you find valuable.
For example:
1) Why do some teenagers have difficulty expressing anger while others seem to just "float" through adolescence?
2) Why do some people excel in academics and look forward to challenges and others get bored?
3) How do friendships change as we age?
4) Are older people happier? Sadder? Grouchier? What are moods like throughout the lifespan?
5) There is lots of research on different types of relationships. Choose one that interests you.
6) Why are some people successful in forming relationships and others have difficulty?
7) What are some cross-cultural differences within families or among other relationships?
8) How are relationships different in different cultures?
9) What happens to the brain during a romantic encounter?
10) What kinds of psychosocial differences are related to genetic makeup versus the environment in which we are raised?
The above are only examples. Feel free to choose any topic in cognitive development that catches your interest. Look through the new chapters for other ideas. And remember, the LAVC library has the option to search only for scholarly titles on its homepage.
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
• The answer must be using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, typed, with one-inch margins on all sides.
• The response also includes a cover page containing the student's name, the title of the homework, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
