HIND BRAIN -
1. CEREBELLUM -
- Little part, lies below the posterior part of cerebrum & above the medulla oblongeta.
- It conists of median lobe vermis & 2 lateral lobes or cerebellor hemispheres.
- In 2 lateral lobes 2 arbra vittae or life tree of white matter is present. In vermis 1 arbra vittae is present so total arbra vittae are 3. Surrounded by cerebral cortex.
- In cerebellum flask shaped cells are purkenje's cells.
FUNCTIONS-
Equilibrium. Movement of muscles in walking.
Note :- Cerebellum is more developed in aves.
