In Indiana, the State Department of Health tracks and reports out on the Oral Health Metrics. The Oral Health Division of Indiana promotes, protects, and improves the oral health of all Indiana citizens. There are a few programs they run, which are the Indiana Donated Dental Services, Children's Special Health Care Services, MCH-MOMS Helpline, and the Indiana Water Fluoridation Program (Indiana State Department of Health, 2024). All these programs are in place to help Indiana residents receive the oral care they need. The Indiana Donated Dental Services falls under a national program titled, Dental Lifeline Network, that provides care to the elderly, medically at-risk, disabled. In Indiana, specifically, the dental services are covered for eligible patients. To be eligible under this program, you must lack income needed for dental care, be 65 or older, permanently disabled or medically at-risk.
