The egocentric self tells you "Be true to yourself." Have you always been true to yourself? If you have been, has it been always easy?
Like the anthropologist, let us view persons and cultures holistically, hence no feeling of ethnocentrism no xenocentrism. Have you been in some ways ethnocentric or xenocentric?
Do you have to wait until it is too late like what St. Augustine said: "Too late have I found you, O God!
