Has the issue of employment discrimination improved enough

The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was passed, in part, in an attempt to eliminate discrimination in employment. In 1965, President Lyndon B.Johnson issued Executive Order 11246 requiring federal contractors to take "affirmative action" to increase the participation of minorities and women in the workplace. Its goal focused on reducing the impact of past discrimination that these groups faced. Both Title VII and Executive Order 11246 have now been in place for over 50 years. Has the issue of employment discrimination improved enough at this point that Executive Order 11246 should be eliminated?
